A piece of moving typography that illustrates the evolution from print towards the screen as a new typographical medium. My piece has taken groundbreaking typographical works from history and updated them, animating and bringing them to life.
Jan Tschichold’s The New Typography brings together examples from artists and designers around the world that were pushing typography in a new direction, clashing with the typography of the old. I have updated works by Marinetti, Soffici and Apollinaire as examples of Tschichold’s ‘new’ typography, with The Gutenberg Bible representing the ‘old’.
